PokerStars Championship Barcelona took center stage. There is still plenty of U.S. poker tournament results to report on, though, as from Pennsylvania to Arizona, there were events featuring four-figure buy-ins, record turnouts, and six-figure prize pools.

Young Tames Parx Field

Parx Casino in Bensalem drew a strong field for their $1,600 Big Stax Main Event. Two starting flights and the ability to enter on Day 2 brought in 424 entrants and created a prize pool of over $650,000. Oregon’sMaxwell Young won the title in a three-way chop with Mike Lavenburg and Vinny Pahuja, to take home $120,930.

The talented final table included Chris Horter, Jason Rivkin, and Wade Meacham, with Christian Harder and former Big Stax Main Event Champion Brent Roberts among the players who cashed.

Massive Fields Out West and Down South

The Arizona State Poker Championship at the Talking Stick Resort drew a record-breaking crowd of 1,691 entrants for the $1,100 buy-in event. Rellie Sigua claimed the title and the $265,076 first place prize by beating Dylan Hortin heads up. WSOPCircuit Main Event Champion Jeff Fielder placed fourth and David “ODB” Baker made a strong run to make the final three tables.

Championship

The RunGood Series made its first ever stop in Tunica, MS, opening their fall series in record fashion. A total of 582 entrants bought into the $560 event, almost tripling the $100,000 guarantee and setting the series record for entrants. David Troutman won the title and $58,797, beating bracelet winner Kyle Cartwright heads up. Local pro and former SHRPO final tablist Tim Burt finished in fourth place.

MSPT Awards Indiana State Poker Championship

The Mid-States Poker Tour traveled to the Tropicana in Evansville, Indiana for the $250,000 guaranteed MSPT Main Event. The $1,100 buy-in brought in a field of 320 entrants, putting the prize pool over $300,000. Satish Thakur defeated a final table featuring Kurt Jewell and Craig Welko to win the $71,047 first place prize.

The MSPT is on the road this weekend to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for a $150,000 guaranteed main event.

America’s Poker Tour Heads To Chicagoland

North of Evansville, the America’s Poker Tour was in Gary, In at the Majestic Star Casino. The $100,000 guaranteed event drew 183 entries with Bryan Skreens finishing on top. Skreens won $39,106 after making a heads up deal with Gary Herstein, who earned $30,000.
